Maybelle has just returned from a week with her mother at the Sunny Acres Retirement Utopia where her mother lives. While unpacking her suitcase, Maybelle realized she brought back more than dirty clothes and an empty tube of toothpaste. She also brought back joys, and heartaches, and the all too tender reminder of mortality: hers and her mother’s.
